No lock. A locking device would detract from the speed of use of the Hoist and in the end you wouldnt bother using it.
Besides Ive never had a bike fall of a hoist.

is there a way you can lock it more securely into position? if you were to pull on the back wheel (say when your changing the wheel for example)would it roll back off the stand?

The tire warmers …
The tire warmers fit as is. it was specifically designed as a pit hoist for track / ride day ppl. Both wheels are lifted 15mm and there are no sharp edges for the warmers to catch on.
