(Tabloids, they always seem to exaggerate their stories. One sneeze and they make it seem that you have an un-curable disease, you simply trip and they’ll say you stumbled down the stairs. Celebrities are usually the victims of those harsh tabloids, and their next target? The JB’s. 1st Headline : Joe Jonas and Andrea Saunders Doing Dirty Stuff?!)
-It was still raining hard. They can hear the raging winds and wild waves through the walls of the resort. The power was out and the resort was dark, the only source of light was the candles that the staff are putting up. Meanwhile, in the Small room inside the storage, Joe and Andrea were sitting on the floor-
ANDREA: (scared) When’ll the lights be back?
JOE: I don’t know. the storm must’ve knocked down the power lines.
ANDREA: (Trying to shed some light with her “no signal” cellphone.)
JOE: (Held Andrea’s hand) Don’t worry. I’m here.
*Lightning crackles*
ANDREA: (Screams and covers up her ears.) AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
JOE: (Tried to comfort Andrea and hugged her tightly.)
(There was silence in the small room. Andrea felt safe with Joe’s arms around her, it’s as if nobody else can touch her.)
JOE: Better?
ANDREA: A little. . . . . . . . . . . but don’t think this let’s you off the hook mister.
JOE: *sigh* I’m guessing you didn’t read those messages in my cellphone.
ANDREA: Well, once I saw Miranda’s name, that’s all the proof that I needed.
JOE: She did try to get me back, but I told her I’m happy now. You can even check my sent messages it’s all there, the date I sent it, and everything.
ANDREA: . . . . . . .I believe you.
JOE: and I asked you to be my girlfriend because I do like you, and I still did have feelings for Miranda then. But I figured, I liked you 90% more. So I chose you.
*Lightning crackles*
ANDREA: (just ignored it and rested on Joe’s shoulder. She just realized how much she missed Joe’s touch.) . . . . .
JOE: (He held Andrea’s hands and enjoyed their moment together.)
ANDREA: Joe?
JOE: Yeah?
ANDREA: When you said you were falling in love with me, was any of that true?
JOE: (Guided Andrea’s hand to his chest.) Do you feel that?
ANDREA: (She felt Joe’s heartbeat. It was beating hard and fast.)
JOE: (With the light coming from Andrea’s phone Joe can barely see Andrea’s face, but he looked at her deeply in her eyes.) My heart beats faster when you’re around me. . . . Whenever I hear your name I get excited, and when you’re not with me I can’t stop thinking about you. . . . I—
ANDREA: (Before Joe can say more heart melting words Andrea kissed him passionately, and Joe obliged. Andrea pulled away from their kiss and smiled.) You could have just said “I love you”.
(Looks like that first Headline is sooo False. Moving on to Nick and Sydney. The Tabloid said that “Nick Proposed to Sydney”.)
-Resort Bar-
NICK: (Walked up to Sydney, Prince, and Damien with a flashlight.) Hey guys!
DAMIEN: Hey. Where’s Joe?
NICK: I thought he already went here?
PRINCE: Maybe he’s with Andrea?
SYDNEY: Probably.
NICK: So, This bar is pretty useless without power. We can’t use the Karaoke machine.
SYDNEY: WHAT?! They have karaoke?
PRINCE: Easy sis. It’s a good thing there’s no electricity, coz if there is she’ll probably bogart the machine.
NICK & DAMIEN: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
SYDNEY: You’re just jealous Prince, coz I have a good voice and you don’t.
NICK: Uhem! Uhhhhmmm. . . Syd can I talk to you in private?
SYDNEY: Uuuuhhmm. . . sure.
(Nick and Sydney sat in another table, the waiter lit up some candles to light up the bar.)
SYDNEY: So, what do you want to talk about?
NICK: Us.
SYDNEY: Us?
NICK: Yeah. . . . (Nick reached in to his pocket. He took out a small red box and placed it in front on Sydney.)
SYDNEY: What’s this?
NICK: Open it.
SYDNEY: (Opened the small box and saw a tiny toy ring. It was a stretchy beaded ring, it was rather old, the colors were already fading.) Oh!
NICK: Remember this?
SYDNEY: Of course! I made this when we were kids. I made two rings, one for me and one for you. It’s supposed to be our “Bond Ring”, that we’ll be friends forever. How did you get this?
NICK: You gave it to me before you guys left.
SYDNEY: And you kept it all this time?
NICK: Actually, I just found it last week.
SYDNEY: Wait, this ring is mine. Where’s the one I made for you?
NICK: (Flashed his purity and right next to it was a stretchy beaded ring. Unlike Sydney’s ring which had rainbow bead colors, Nick’s was just clear beads.)
